CERTALDO (FI) – The 32nd edition of Mercantia, the largest international street theatre festival held in Italy, will take place in Certaldo (Florence) from 10 to 14 July 2019.
Mercantia is a unique Festival, because it combines the traditional street theater (jugglers, mimes, balanceists, fire-eaters, clowns, etc. ..) the figure theater, research theater and performance, prose and cabaret, dance, contemporary art installations and craftsmanship live, all enclosed in the beautiful and welcoming setting of the medieval village of Certaldo Alto.
A skilful mix of elements that favors a high degree of interaction between show business and spectators, also protagonists of the Festival that takes place both in the medieval village, which can be accessed with an entrance ticket, and in the low and modern village, where there is a large craft market and a free section of shows that expand the overall offer of Mercantia.
