Giovanni Boccaccio Literary Prize, in Certaldo
Every year in early September A major literary prize in honor of Certaldo’s most distinguished citizen awarded annually to an Italian writer, storyteller or essayist. Established in 1982 over the years the Prize has been enriched with the foreign authors’ section and recognition for journalistic career, taking on an even higher cultural value. The jury is composed of critics, literary writers and journalists and chaired by Senator Sergio Zavoli.
