Giovanni Boccaccio literary prize, in Certaldo

Every year, at the beginning of September An important literary prize in honour of the most illustrious citizen of Certaldo is awarded every year to an Italian writer, narrator or essayist. Established in 1982, over the years the Prize has been expanded with the section of foreign authors and with the recognition of journalistic careers, assuming an even higher cultural value. The jury is composed of critics, writers and journalists and chaired by Senator Sergio Zavoli.
